Description

Oncologic emergencies can develop as a result of the underlying cancer, or from complications of the therapy used to treat cancer. The onset of an oncologic emergency can occur across all care settings, which emphasizes the importance of education and early recognition of these conditions. This course will review oncologic emergencies, associated risk factors, underlying pathophysiology, manifestations, assessment, treatment, and relevant nursing implications.
